McCoy is now showing great confidence and skills on his balance work - its all about having fun and earning his meal for the day, which he very much enjoys. IT also ensures that his youthful energy is channeled into learning and not other adventures, such as chewing the furniture :) Working on the peanut: http://www.screencast.com/t/alA21nWjN3 Working on the fitpaws large disk Working on Chris ZInk jump training skills - this is still a bit of challenge; he gets excited and forgets about his rear legs ;) Lovely work on the balance board; with a small balance disk underneath. ---------- So much to learn, so many new things to explore - the puppies are always learning. :) Spockie: this was his very first session on the peanut... in all about 8 mins, of which I edited out the first part - and transitions ( when I get more treats etc). His intro was two front paws on the peanut , then I turn it around so he can walk out onto it. Not bad at all for a little "blind" dude :) http://www.screencast.com/t/OTY4MDkz ---- Scottie: he did have a very big 30 minute run in the field with the Shepherds the same morning... this peanut workout was around lunchtime... perhaps a bit too much working out for one day... he has been on the smaller peanut twice as well.

Likely he sits because he is a bit tired...notice the one time I place the treat too far to the right (my right) and he falls off.... I started with head turns, head up and down so they can change their balance every so slightly.... and practice adjusting.... |
